Self-Portrait for Comic Short Story/Because I wanted to try it

Actually, originally I just happened to be doing a self-portrait sketch and then I discovered it was an assignment for my summer class. So that's what this ended up being for.
I don't really like it. But I just kind of hate doing self-portraits/analyzing myself. Haha!

Last semester's work, at last!

http://a.homes.mcad.edu/~afritz/Project_1.5/Pages/Index.html

This doesn't look as good on some computers, such as PC's, but I love it.
The web version of my previous book assignment from Media II.
I have no idea how I'm going to post my other 2 projects from this class... one is a film project consisting of 11 small films (which is more time-consuming to post than difficult), and the other is a really complex max os file that I'm not sure how to publish... But I really like both projects, so hopefully it works out...

Kaitlin McFartly

Try not to have your mind blown by that photoshop job, hahaha.

You know what I should do next?
Post last semester's work...

Kittens inspired by kittens.

The "worst" one so far in terms of time spent on it/crazy things happening in the image, but you know what?
I LOVE IT.
IT'S SO NICK.

My second semester of college is over

....And what a wonderful year it was.
Next up: work from Spring 2010 semester.
Or just more drawings of people.
This one is my special boy, David.

Still not finished with finals.

What to do when you're sick of finals and you just want to draw again.

Make portraits of Jameson accidentally!

The semester is over in less than a week. Then, maybe I'll think about posting my work from this semester.

P.S. I like this drawing more than I thought I would.

The "Mundane" Project-Part 2

The last two pieces to the project
These two are my favorites :)

Flaming Peppers

Designs for an imaginary snowboard company, Flaming Peppers, for 2D. I hate pepper-themes.
It was also a color study. Hence the two colors.
I actually didn't like my original design [the red one], so I did two completely [COMPLETELY] different designs, but my class took a look at all 3 and liked this one the best... Which shocked me and kinda made me sad, but I continued with this design to see what happened. Voila.

Post 100... Wow.

IS THAT A SLOPPY COLOR WHEEL I SEE?!
WHY YES. YES IT IS.
Of course the momentous 100th post has to be something terrible... xD

Clowns 'n Stuff.

An old clown-themed project from 2D.
These were fun!

2D Collage Book: Part 3

The last 2 pieces: digital collage

2D Collage Book: Part 2

2D Collage Book: Part 1

Forgive the poor documentation: I just wanted to finally get it over with!!
A 2D project from way back... Accordion book of collages. I won't get into specifics.

Barbies

[NOTE: Full pixels are really huge because these are ready to print]
Another big 2D project. This is my favorite class this semester because we do the most work in it.
I probably shoulda/coulda/woulda spent more time on this, but I wanted to plow through and get a lot done today, so here it is. Step 1 of the assignment was to gather photos on a certain theme from a short list of potential objects given to us (I chose toys which I developed more specifically into Barbies). Step 2 was to trace the objects and scan the 3 best tracings into the computer. Step 4 was to trace those tracings in Illustrator.
Then, the final step was to create 4 images using those tracings based on four words given to us in class, which went thus:
Image 1: Tension
Image 2: Isolation
Image 3: Force
Image 4: Distraction

Watah

First of all, I had the opportunity to work on a test shoot with Eleven, a design firm in Minnetonka, and it was super fun =D I don't wanna talk about it too much, though. I will tell you the commercial is for Vision Ease LifeRX glasses, which are the "transitions" lenses. I think it's gonna turn out pretty tight! The commercial is in stop-motion, so that makes it more fun!
BUT ALAS. It has to be a secret, I guess xD
And nobody wants to hear about that anyway, hahaha xP
The images I posted aren't anything too special.... Just a packaging design I made in my Graphic Design class. It's a redesign of a Dasani label, but, obviously, not a Dasani bottle. Cuz they're ugly and I hate them. Although this bottle is ugly too, but that's not the point xD
I was thinking about posting the progress of the sculpture I'm working on in my Foundation3D class at MCAD, but I think it'd make more sense to just post it when it's all done.
So that'll be up in a week or two.
...
Mmhmmm.
Nothing more to say.

My first Adobe Illustrator adventure!

For the first time ever, I had the opportunity to use Adobe Illustrator. And I'll tell you what; I could do this program all day! =D
I did a different version of this same design with more color, but this is more of a screenprint-ready version. I think the file is kind of weird, so forgive me for its weirdness ]=
And..... that's all! I have nothing more interesting to say.
Thanks for reading!
